Our retro boutique hotel has uniquely decorated rooms that include all the modern comforts you would expect in a Palm Springs Hotel.
The 10 rooms surround a central pool with a hot tub and fire pit for relaxing evenings.
From the moment you step behind the glass doors into the sanctuary of Palm Springs Rendezvous you are transported back in time from the music played around the pool to the retro décor and furnishings throughout the property.
The privacy of the property made for a relaxing hideaway for such notable guests as Marilyn Monroe, Veronica Lake, Gloria Swanson and Hugh O'Brien and many stories exist about Marilyn's favorite room - now called Pretty in Pink.
Guests to our Hotel in Palm Springs love the uniqueness and history of the property.
From the 1950's and 60's music by the pool to the original era furniture in the rooms and common areas.
Rooms have private baths, luxury linens, small refrigerators, microwaves, air conditioners/heaters, and sitting areas.
Breakfast is cooked fresh daily and consists of a main main entrée and fresh market available fruits.
Breakfast is served in the main dining room and is available for guests from 8:30 a.m.
Rendezvous was originally built in the 1930's and later expanded to the current footprint in the 1950's.
The architecture is typical of Palm Springs and it has the unique feature of a Bermuda style roof around a quadrangle courtyard. The Mira Loma, as it was known previously, was established in 1938 and was a relaxing hideaway for such notable guests as Marilyn Monroe, Veronica Lake, Gloria Swanson and Hugh O'Brien.
Various stories exist about Marilyn's favorite room - now called Pretty in Pink. The area where the hotel is situated is "uptown" Palm Springs and is very close to the Racquet Club where many celebs used to stay and party in it's hey day.
Over the years, each new owner brought their own flair to the property, and in 1999 the name was changed to Ballantines.
After a 9 month renovation, the property reopened in 2008 as Rendezvous.
While the property retained its 1950's feel many modern conveniences were added to make our guests more comfortable.
One of the biggest improvements was the new commercial kitchen which allows us to provide our famous breakfasts and wonderful cocktail and appetizer hour.
Since that time, renovations have been going on with a new roof in 2017, new air conditioners/heaters, and on demand hot water heaters in all rooms.
