Quiche Lorraine

This is an amazing French dish that has been changed here and ther by my family throughiut the many years that we have enjoyed it. This dish is sometimes refered to as "Eggy Pie".

step 1

Place pie crust in pan. Crimp edges and line with foil. Add pie weights. bake at 450°F for 10 minutes.

Mix first 6 ingredients using an emulsion blender until the mixture is frothy.

Remove the pie crust from the oven and reduce the oven temperature to 325°F

step 4

Carefully remove the foil and pie weights from the crust. Place 1/2 of the shredded cheese into the warm pie crust. Top the cheese with the cubed ham. Pour the egg mixture over the ham and cheese. Top with the remaining shredded cheese.

Bake for 50-55 minutes.

1/2 c. milk

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper

1 tsp nutmeg

1 c. shredded swiss cheese

1 c. cubed ham
