Christian Bale was born January 1974 in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire. He grew up
moving around a lot. He had lived in 15 different towns by the time he was 15 years old.
By the time hes was 16 he had left school, and when he was 17 his parents got divorced and he moved with his dad to Los
Angeles. His first acting role was for a fabric commercial. He pursued acting even though he didn't find it appealing, but
he had no reason not to pursue it. He didn't undergo any formal acting training.
