Career Values

My top career value is creativity, which aligns with being a graphic designer. Graphic design requires a lot of creativity because you have to be able to come up with ideas for the projects. Without being creative, becoming a graphic designer would be extremely difficult because excellent projects would not be able to be created. My second career value is the ability to work overtime. Since graphic designing is a job mainly on computers, working overtime should be an easy task. Also, you can be a self-employed graphic designer, so you get to work your own hours (as long as you get the project complete). My third career value is having the ability to be organized. In graphic designing, you have to be extremely organized to meet all deadlines for your clients. You also may have multiple projects going at once, so you need to keep all of the assignments straight and organized.

Personal Interests

I chose this career because I’ve always been interested in the graphic design field. I’ve always admired companies logos, and had an eye for admiring why certain designs and colors were chosen. I want to understand exactly why certain colors and formats were chosen for that specific logo. I’ve always wanted to try being that person that designs the logos to complement the businesses motives. I’ve also always liked website design, which is a part of graphic designing.
